We are so excited to announce that Kazapalooza 2014 will be held at Hope Lake Lodge and Conference Center in Cortland, New York!
Hope Lake Lodge is a LEED and award winning lodge-style hotel which features many family activities onsite such as an Arcade, Indoor Water Park, Adventure Center and Hope Lake with hiking, swimming, boating and fishing. It is located in the gorgeous Finger Lake region of New York State. Dining options include room service, Acorn Grill located off the lobby of the main Lodge, Bobcat Lounge, and the Edgewater Cafe located inside the Water Park. Also scheduled to open this month is a gourmet brick oven pizza cafe located across the street in the main conference center overlooking the ski slopes.
We are planning many activities included in the registration fee that will take place Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. Many of these activities will take place outdoors and give our families opportunities to meet others, spend time with each other and enjoy the beautiful landscape that surrounds Hope Lake Lodge. Registration will include meals Friday night, Saturday lunch, and breakfast Sunday.
Please note that unlike previous years, the Water Park and Adventure Center will NOT be included in the price of registration. We do have excellent group rates for you to purchase as an added activity for your family either before or after the scheduled Kazapalooza activities. Waterfalls Spa will also be offering our group special discounted rates during our weekend as well. Some of these activities require advance reservations placed when you reserve your room. These are OPTIONAL activities that you can CHOOSE to do if you like. All of our scheduled activities Friday through Sunday will be held at the Lodge on the lawn or at the Lake and surrounding area. Water park tickets are good for ONE day only and should be purchased when you place your room reservation.
Take some time to browse through the room options. There are many configurations of rooms available to us at a discounted rate. Corporate ( one Queen bed and one Queen sofa sleeper) and Traditional (two Queen beds) rooms are the only rooms offered that do NOT have kitchens. All other options have full kitchens. The Hope Lodge website shows room layouts of each room or suite option. Rate prices are available by calling the Lodge directly.
Our discounted suites are as follows:
Northwoods Suite- sleeps 4
Roaring Brook Suite- sleeps up to 6
Loon Hollow and Ledge Rock Suites- sleeps up to 6
Split Rock Suite- Sleeps up to 8
Eagle Nest and High Falls Suites- sleeps up to 8
River Rock and Cedar River Suites- sleeps up to 10
Hope Lake Lodge does not charge a resort fee. Free WiFi is available throughout the resort and parking is always free as well.
The closest airports include Ithaca (22 miles from Lodge) and Syracuse (41 miles from Lodge) located in Cortland, NY. There is also an Amtrak line that runs from NYC to Syracuse and Shortline buses that stop in Ithaca. Hope Lake Lodge is located 3 1/2 hours by car from both Niagara Falls and New York City.
